‘Satkon Ka Singhashan’ for the Little Master, By-Numan Mishra

The little master is all set to search for that one eluding century that has kept the whole world glued to the television, whenever the great man walks in to bat. Many a times have all the fans and the cricket lovers been disappointed already. However there are two people who are left heartbroken the most, Arjun back home in Sachin’s new Villa and a very small sculptor from Patna named ‘Chintu’. 

Each time the maestro prolongs his renaissance a young boy named Arjun gets so furious, he threatens to slam the bowler that has got the little master out, all-round the park, when he himself wears the blues. On the other side of the country a poor unappreciated sculptor with limited resources manages to bring sparkle in his eyes. Every times the great man gets out in 90’s Chintu reassures himself that it’s just a small step for Tendulkar and the kind of greatness he possesses he will attain it in the near future. And when the master batsmen does achieves that 100^th ton Chintu will set out on a journey to present his master piece which he has named ‘Satkon Ka Singhashan’ to the little master, as a token of appreciation for the services he has done for the country.

Chintu Kumar (26) a native of Nalanda is a final year student of the College of Arts and Crafts, who is working day and night to carve a stone sculpture - 'Satkon Ka Singhashan (throne of centuries)' - to gift to the greatest batsman of all times. He can be seen working in the backyard of the college premises or resting on the grassy lawn in front. He says the work is intense and needs total devotion hence he cannot concentrate on anything else these days. He also said that he was the only sculptor in the college. 

When asked about the outline of the Sculpture he said that the basic design will be based on zero, since everything in the world has to start from it. Even Sachin’s centuries contain zeros, his name is Tendulkar which also contains ten which has one zero. Hence zero was a very first thing that came to my mind when I decided to make this throne. The stone which has been carved in to one solid piece will be polished with perception. The back of the throne will feature the Man-of-the-Match feats achieved by the little master, while ‘100’ will be carved out in metal and pasted all over the remaining part of the throne.  

The throne will have two adjacent pillars in the front and they will be made out of metal. On one of the metal pillar the test centuries made by the great man will be incarved while the other side will feature the list of his one-day centuries. The relief will be made in the form of a globe to symbolize that the master blaster is a global conqueror. He has scored runs all over the world and helped the team win the world cup this year. Chintu said that small pebbles painted with glitters will be embedded in the throne to make it look glamorous.  

Earlier Chintu had also provided a 250Kg stone carved replica of the world cup to M.S Dhoni. For this he had to go to Ranchi and wait for hours at MSD’s gates. He had to hire a cab that could carry the replica to MSD’s house which cost him a year’s worth savings. But he says it was worth it, as he got a chance to meet Dhoni in person and congratulate for the world cup victory. Dhoni also assured him of any possible help to which Chintu laughingly replied “just bring another world cup home”. When asked what he would have done if India had lost that night in Wankhede? he said, I am an artist and can only control what is in my domain. However, I was really confident of the victory because we have a very strong captain and I don’t doubt his capabilities. However I cannot deny that I was under severe pressure that night, even more than MSD himself at times. As first Sachin and then Sehwag got out on consecutive deliveries of Malinga, my heart shank and my friends started mocking me. I started praying and they say god hears prayers of people who work with their heart, my prayers were heard and we won. I really did not know what I would have done if we did not win that day.  

  

In an answer to the question why only cricketers? He replied immediately, Sports is very important and that I am a small common man with limited endeavors, hence sporting achievements earned by the country gives me immense pleasure. He also explained that he has very limited resources and wealth hence this was the least he could do for the people who made the country proud. He said he does not have the power to award Bharat-Ratna to anyone one he wants, but this throne made by him was nothing less than that.  His days of intense work and persistence are the sole investment in his sculptures, and that’s the best he can do to recognize the achievement of great men. Sachin has been serving the country for the last 22 years; he has been recognized all over the world by his fans and cricket lovers. Talks are in progress to provide him with Bharat-Ratna so this is my way of saluting the great man. 

Sachin has left all his competitors behind and has proved many a times of his caliber. He also became the first man to get a double century in the history of cricket. Chintu said that Sachin is now ‘Satkon ka Raja’ which means king of centuries. I am praying that Sachin gets his much-awaited century of centuries soon. The chance of this happening in the first Test against Australia, which is scheduled to begin in Melbourne on December 26, is extreme. I have prepared this ‘Satkon Ka Singhashan’ to honor the man in my own peculiar way. I will personally take this throne to the great man when he reaches back home via train or any other accommodation available at that time.

Among his other projects is a round shaped memorabilia carved out of stone highlighting all the strokes and achievements by the Super Explosive Opening Batsman ‘Virender Sehwag’. He says he loves to see him bat; he is fearless, aggressive and entertaining. He plans to present the memorabilia to sehwag for scoring the ‘219’aginst West Indies earlier this month. 

Replying to a question, why creative satisfaction is more important than money? Chintu said that the work of an artist is his identity and identity is very important for survival just like food, air, water and shelter. Off course money is important but a creative man needs only as much as he can suffice in. I do not endeavor money but I wish the infrastructure of the Arts and Craft College be improved and the students be provided with basic tools and equipment. Also if the government could provide necessary arrangements and showcased the work more often more students will come to the college and aspire to become sculptors. 

   

When asked about what is that drives an artist to work selflessly, he said Skeptics may feel that it is a publicity stunt, but ask my friends and they will say this is far from truth. Work is greater than anything in this world people come and go but work stands out. I am an artist what I seek is recognition and appreciation, wealth has always eluded me and I hardly care. I will continue my mission to honor the great man for their contribution to the country no matter what.

जब भी कोई अविकसित राष्ट्र विकाश कि ओर अग्रसर होता है। उसके सामने कई समस्याएँ मुँह खोले कर बैठ जाति है। उसे हर तरह कि चुनौतियों से होकर गुज़रना पड़ता है। उस राष्ट्र के नागरिकों को हर कदम पर अनुशासित होकर अपनी क्षमता एवं ईमानदारी का परिचय देना होता है। राष्ट्र ऐसे पायदान पर खड़ा होता है कि जिसके आगे का रास्ता बहुत छोटा मगर उतना ही कठिन होता है। परंतु एक गलती उसे वापस उसी ढलान के अंत पर ले कर चली जाति है। हमारी अर्थ-व्यवस्था भी विकासशील है। हमें रोज़ाना ही नयि समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ता है। एक ऐसी ही समस्या आज हमारे समाज के अस्तित्व पर सवाल उठा रही है। जिस वख्त हमारा राज्य बिहार अपनी तथाकथित चौमुखी विकास कि श्रुति गान कर रहा है, वही एक गंभीर बीमारी जापानी ईन्सेफ्लाइटिस हामारे भविस्य अर्थात हमारे बच्चों को एक-एक कर निगलता जा रहा है।

ईन्सेफ्लाइटिस एक एसि लाइलाज महामारि है जो आमतौर पर दुनिया के 70% जगहो पर पनपति है। जापानी ईन्सेफ्लाइटिस दरअसल एक प्रकार कि ईन्सेफ्लाइटिस हि है, जिसका कारक एक जीवाणु है। यह बीमारी प्रायः: दक्षिण पश्चिम एशिया में पायि जाती है, जिसका जीवाणु मूलतः: पालतू सुअरों एवं जंगली पक्षियों के द्वारा इंसानी बस्तियों तक पहुचाया जाता है। जहाँ से इन्हें एक प्रकार का मच्छर क्यूलेकस ट्रिटाईनियोराईन्क्स इनसानों तक पाहुचा देता है। यह बीमारी सभी उम्र के लोगों को हो सकती है, पर बाच्चों में इस बीमारी का असर प्रायः: भायावह होता है। बीमारी एक साधारण बुखार के रूप में सुरु होती है जो पाच से दस दिनों तक रह सकता है। परंतु लापरवाही एवम अच्छे इलाज कि कमी कि वजह से यह दिमाग़ी बुखार में परिवर्तित हो जाती है। मरिज के दिमाग के उत्त्क सक्रमित होकर सुजने लगते है, तथा रोगि के शरिर का सुरक्षा तंत्र उसके दिमाग के उत्त्को को बिमारि का कारक सामझ कर नष्ट करने लगता है। जिसके बाद मारिज़ कोमा में चला जाता है, जहां से उसे बचा पाना नामुमकिन हो जाता है। 2008 के एक स्वतन्त्र सर्वेक्षण मे यह पता चला कि दुनिया भर मे इस बिमारि से सालाना 50,000 लोग प्राभावित हुए, जिनमे से 10,000 लोग, यानि लगभग 25% बच नहि पाते। ये आकडे तब से अब तक और बढ़ॆ हि है। यह साबित करता है कि इस बिमारि से पिडित लोगो मे म्रित्युदर बहुत अधिक है। हालाकि जो चुनिन्दा लोग इस महामारि से पिडित होकर बच जाते है, उन्कि स्तिथि मौत से भि बद्त्त्र हो जाती है। मरिज़ो मे लम्बि अवधि तक इस बिमारि का असर रह्ता है जैसे कि मानशिक असनतुल्न नर्भस ब्रेकडाउन। इस बिमारि का आभि तक कोइ असरदार इलाज़ नहि मिल पाया है। हालाकि इस के बाबत कइ जागहो पर काम चल रहा है। इस माहामारि का वाएरस एक प्रात्य्यारोधक वाएरस होता है, जिस पर बहुत सारि एन्टिवाएरल दवाओं का असर नहि होता।

पूरे भारत में ही इस बीमारी का क़हर रहा है, परंतु बिहार, यूँ0पी0, उड़ीसा व अन्य पिछड़े राज्यों में इस बीमारी ने आत्यधिक तबाही माचायि है। भारत में इस बीमारी का पहला सार्वजनिक मामला 2004 में आया था, जिसके बाद इसके कइ मामले साल दर साल आते हि रहे। सरकारि हावाले कि बात करे तो इस बिमारि को 2007 मे लगभग पूरी तरह मिटा दिया गया था। मगर इस बीमारी का कारक किसी तरह जीवित रह गया। पूरे भारत से इस साल इस बीमारी ने हज़ारो बच्चों कि जाने ली है।

वहीं बिहार में इस बीमारी ने एक अभिशाप का रूप ले लिया है, यहाँ हर रोज़ औसतन एक बच्चा इस बीमारी से जंग हार कर मौत कि मुह में जा रहा है। बिहार के गया जिले से अब तक 90 बच्चो कि जाने गयि है, इस्मे से । बिहार के हर जिले मे कहि न कहि एकाध सुवरखाना आज भि मिल जायेगा। इतना हि नहि रास्तो और गलियो मे भि आए दिन आवारा सुवर मिल हि जाते है। इसके अलावा साल के कुछ महिने बिहार अलग-अलग प्रवाशिय पक्षियों के लिये भि रैन बसेरा बनता है, जो कि इस बिमारि के एक और कारक है।  ये उसी भारत में हो रहा है जाहां पोलियो और चिकन गुनिया जैसी बीमारियों से कई बच्चों कि जाने पह्ले भि जा चुकि है। महानेताओ व विदद्वानो से आल्न्क्रित इस देश मे बिमारियो से लड्ने व उन्के पुर्ण उन्मुलन के लिये वक्त दर वक्त कइ सिफ़रिशे और सुझाव आये है। लेकिन आज भि इस देश मे इस बिमारि से एक बाच्चा मरा होगा, क्या यह हमारी अंत: आत्मा के लिए आपार वेदना कि बात नहीं है?

अमरीका जैसे विकसित देशों में ऐसे हेल्थ रिफ़ार्म कानून बानाये गए है, जिससे नागरिकों को निसुल्क स्वास्थ्य समबन्धि सेवये मुफ़्त में मिल सके। हमारी आर्थ्व्यवस्था उतनी उम्दा नहीं है, पर क्या हम बाक़ी सारी चीज़ों को किनारा कर स्वास्थ्य सेवओ पर ज़ोर नहीं दे सकते?

बायो-टेक्नोलोजि विभाग, भारत के सचिव एम0 के0 भान का काहना है, कि फड्स कि कमी कि वजह से हम इस बिंमारि को पूरी तरह नहीं मिटा पाए। इसके अलावा लोगों के रहन सहन कि वजह से भी ये बीमारी इतनी फैली है। उनहोने कह कि साफ़ पानी ना मिलना, खुली नालियाँ, आवारा जानवर, घनी बसी हुई आबादी तथा लेगो में अपने स्वस्थ्य के प्रति जागरुकता कि कमी इस बीमारी कि सबसे बड़ी वजहें है।  

सवाल ये भी उठता है कि क्या हम इस बीमारी को जड़ से मिटाने के लिए नैतिक रूप से तैयार है? या फिर हम हर बार कि तरह सोते रहेंगे, और कारवाई तभी होगि जब नुकसान बहुत ज़्यादा हो जाएगा। इस देश में एक तरफ़ तो क्रिकेट वल्ड कप एवं कौमन वेल्थ खेलो के नाम पर इतना पैसा बाहाया जाता है, वही इस देश कि भावी पीढ़ी ज़िंदगी और मौत के बीच झूल रही है। क्या हर बात पर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया देने वाले इस समाज में इस मुद्दे पर बहस करने कि ईछा शक्ति है?

अंत्त: मुद्दा यही है कि हमारा देश जिन पारिश्थितियो से गुज़र रहा है, उसे हर क़दम पर भर्ष्ट्राचार, ग़रीबी, अशिक्षा एवम महँगाई से जूझना पड रहा है। जिस वजह से इसे किसी भी नयि आपदा या बीमारी से निपटने में इतना वक्त लगता है। गौरतलब हो कि ऐसि विषम पारिश्थितियो से निपतट्ने के लिये हमे द्रिढ इच्छाशक्ति के साथ अपनि प्रथ्मिक्ताओं का पुनर्निधारन करना होग़ा। बिमरियो से लड्ने मे असक्ष्म देशों मे कभि भि कोइ आर्थिक या सामाजिक विकास नहि हो पाया है। सोमालिया, ज़ीम्बाब्वे व केनिया का उदाहरण हामारे सामने है। इन देशो मे वर्षो से कोइ अर्थिक विकास नहि हो पाया है, जिसका मुख्य कारन इन देशो कि उच्च शिशु म्रित्यु दरें है। जिससे यह साबित होता है कि समाज अपने किसि भि स्थ्म्भ को पिछ्डा या बिमार छोड कर अपने सर्वन्गिन विकास कि कामना नहि कर सकता है। अत: इस बात मे कोइ शक नहि कि जापानी ईन्सेफ्लाइटिस हमारे देश कि लिए एक आभीशाप है।

Dear Anna,

THANKYOU & SORRY !! Yes Thank-you for inspiring this common yet highly corrupt lay man. Yes, ironically I am the man you are fighting for, yet I am the man you are fighting with. I am that common man who is depressed, broken, poor, suffering, tortured, torn, misjudged, mislead and who now is fed up with fighting against all this self-inflicted apocalypse. I am the same man whom u cant see in pain, and your heart melts, your eyes get wet, and you think u need raise his voice. Yes Anna it’s me the Victim and yet the main cause of corruption. I am the one who has to lose something every time through Bomb Blasts, Ghotalas, Global Depression, Inflation  Scams, Fixes, Earthquake, Tsunami, polio, AIDS and this curse to humanity Corruption yet I am thy who has inflicted all this upon thy.  

                                 However, this is not completely my fault, Since I am but a Pre-Programmed molecule of this universe, which is destined to corrupt when exposed to Power and Luxury. Yes Sir I am one with all the corrupt souls like Kalmadis, Rajas & many more. Because these are not people with Super humane capabilities neither they are the children of Satan. They are but a common man exposed to power. A power that is uncontrolled, a power that is unaccountable, a power that is the  cocktail of all powers, a recipe for disaster indeed. 
                                    First, it was the Politicians then the Policemen now everyone is proving to be corrupt in some or the other way. My motive here is not to get to a conclusion that even you and your applauded Team Anna is corrupt, but to point out my inability to pretend fighting this war with myself. Because I am the same fish that is polluting the pond yet multifaceted enough to fight for a cleaner pond. A cliché it may be but it proves that I am a part of this Zig-Saw of mutual corrupt existence. In addition, I am honest enough to admit it in public knowing whatever the consequences are. I am an honest man and i know my limitations.
                                 Besides it will all make sense only when I forge myself strong enough to control myself from corrupting when exposed to power of mammoth capacity is. Which seems highly unlikely according to my assessments. The only reason here maybe Because I have a very short term memory. First it was an Adrenaline Driven Highly Dramatized Homegrown Cricket World Cup Victory, Then it was your Highly Energizing & even more Dramatized Crusade against Corruption, After which followed the Delhi Blast and we were awake again but ironically nothing happened there either, After that it was some Condemnable obsolete case of some Stupid Narcissus English media calling our Cricketers #Dogs & #Donkeys and now it’s about #Agnivesh in BiggBoss. This again is not my fault, because it is not for me to decide what to think or want. As I am but a Bot Hypnotized by this Insensitive Irresponsible Paid-Media. I don't have a mind of my own neither do I have any views on anything anymore . I am alone and vulnerable in my personal crusades cause there ain't no Anna to fight for me in there.

          First, I was very confident with your Movement combined with #IAC to fight against corruption. And I even had started to think that it would succeed but later i concluded that it was not an overnight victory we were searching for, but a constantly unending self-revaluation combined with intense discipline. Anyways I had my flags high with you and your highly qualified team of stupendous intellects like Kejriwal, Hegde, Bedi ji, #Agnivesh and The Bhushan's. However, i am going to be honest here, with all the controversies regarding you and your team I was left a little confused and demotivated. As I now had started thinking, am I doing the same mistake I did electing a Parliament full of MPS and MlAS who are useless and corrupt? The answer I am afraid was yes, after the #Agnivesh misadventure it had to. For a very strong willed and socially active man he is if he could corrupt so can I and you and everyone else? Then Mr. Hegde had his way out of your team now even Kumar Vishwas seems a little confused. Even Your personal blogger who was supposed to write what you say had his bit of misadventure. If all of these gentlemen can have their difference of opinion and thus can be termed morally corrupt, so can I. Given the small common man with many unfinished endeavors, it is highly likely I will be the most corrupt person ever. 
      Frankly, people reading this might not publicly endorse this but it is a fact that 95% supporters of your movement share the same view I possess. But they are either cowards or they like to pretend its night by shutting their eyes close. Also I am not afraid to tell this all innate sins in me in public, because i have a high threshold for self-evaluation. To me this so called corruption is highly nano and unmeaningfull than the one i am personally experiencing everyday by not parting myself from this movement. Please don’t think of me as a fallen soldier but as a phoenix who burnt away so that it could regain its glory. I will be back with this movement uninvited the day i find the uncorrupted man in me.

                          उ लोकपाल वाला मुद्दा पे एगो बड़ा बढियां किस्सा हुआ था अन्ना के जन्लोक्पल में तो खाली सरकारी लोग के तरकारी बनावे के सुझाव है ता नेतवा सब पुचा की अन्ना और उनका NGO भी इसमे सामिल हो जाए तो अच्हा होगा !! इ बात लेके न्यूज़ ओला सब केजरीवाल के घेरा सब ता केजरीवाल भी मज्हल खिलाडी हैं बोले की मीडिया भी इसके दायरे में आवे ता हमहू लोग आ जावेंगे !! इसपर कोई मीडिया ओला चू तक नहीं बोला, अरे अपना पेट पे लात केकरा बर्दाश होता है  ........... हहाहहाहा !
